Hello guys! I haven't written anything in a couple of month as there has been a lot going on with the group. The group completed a sponsored walk around Berwick Town Walls and raised nearly £250, which was a fantastic effort by all involved, and a massive thank you goes out to all who took part. On Wednesday 16th September the group had a meal together at Lemoncello on Hide Hill, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A great time was had by all, and once again Lemoncello produced some wonderfully tasty treats from their Lunch Time Special menu. On Thursday 17th September myself and our Chairman, Mr Trevor Bird, both attended an NTW meeting in Newcastle were I gave a presentation on how the group were formed and what our aims and objectives are. We received high praise as a group for the way we have bounced back from the brink of losing a vital Day Service within North Northumberland.
We received information from other groups who wish to be associated with us and operate within the same format as ourselves, peer lead and user run! We have been invited to do a radio interview with a new Mental Health orientated radio station based in Newcastle, which we agreed to do. They wish to broadcast our story far and wide to try and help in both boosting the awareness of the group, and inform their listeners of the services and help that are out there, in essence raising awareness of Mental Health
